• 2 m pieces of clothing manufactured from organic cotton
• Over PLN 1.7 m donated by LPP and the LPP Foundation for charity activities in 2018
• 78 thousand pieces of new clothing donated to charity
• In the published integrated report for 2018, LPP presents its definition of a Polish family business with a global outreach in the context of CSR activity.
At the end of 2018, the brick-and-mortar stores of the Polish company had already been operating in 23 countries. Year by year, LPP is expanding the outreach of its operations by adding new markets, and by way of securing succession – it’s goal is to remain a Polish family business.
After the successful debut of last year’s first integrated report of the company, LPP publishes another report entitled “Global Brand, Polish Company”, illustrating how it combines local involvement with global aspirations.
Last year’s report was an opportunity to present the company from the inside, tell how Polish brands’ collections are created and show the designing process both in the light of processes and the people who create these collections. This year’s report shows how the Polish company cares about human rights and the environment, but also how it cares about the pro-ecological awareness of its customers. A considerable part of the report is also devoted to eco lines which LPP has been successfully introducing to new collections.
The company has been exporting Polish creative thought and creativity to foreign markets for years. It has also been making a valuable contribution to the changes in the clothing industry. The LPP brands’ collections feature more and more ecological materials from sustainable sources, such as organic cotton, Lyocell, or linen, and containers for unwanted clothes that go to the people in need have appeared in Reserved stores, yet LPP does not intend to stop there.
– We will consistently move in the direction of ecology. Although we are still far behind the biggest fashion companies in terms of scale, we are already taking a number of initiatives to contribute to global change. Here in LPP we believe that big changes start with small steps and that this approach will deliver tangible results in the face of global environmental challenges – adds Anna Miazga.
LPP is also one of the largest tax payers in Pomerania and one of the largest employers in the region, currently employing over 2000 people in its headquarters and providing over 14,000 jobs throughout Poland.
– We are a committed employer creating opportunities for development for young talented employees. Through cyclical projects that support the activation of young people we give them a chance to take their first professional steps and get to know the ins and outs of the fashion industry. We want to drive Polish creativity, which in everyday life LPP is what we want to use to conquer the world – comments Anna Miazga, CSR Coordinator in LPP.
