Over 100 students from Trzebownisko municipality participated in a winter semi-camp co-organized by LPP Group
Following the launch of the new LPP Logistics Fulfilment Center in Jasionka in January this year, the Polish apparel manufacturer is continuing its local community support programme in cooperation with Trzebownisko municipality. As part of the organization of joint initiatives for the benefit of the youngest residents, the Polish apparel company supported local education by funding a winter semi-camp for 104 students of the Jasionka School Complex. This is another project carried out in cooperation with representatives of the municipality, which is aimed at social activation and spreading the idea of technological and artistic education among young people through participation in creative processes under the supervision of qualified educators.
During the topping-out ceremony on site last June, the LPP Group signed a letter of intent to cooperate in partnership with Trzebownisko municipality, confirming its willingness to undertake joint activities for the benefit of the municipality’s residents. The company is not slowing down in the area of social activities and has decided to expand its cooperation with Podkarpackie region local government, continuing initiatives aimed at the youngest residents.
– As a socially responsible company, we are eager to engage in projects for the benefit of the residents at the locations where we do business. We are pleased that our activities help young people develop their skills and passions. We want to support them in their search for individual competence through a wide range of activities tailored to different interests – comments Sebastian Sołtys, vice-president of LPP Logistics.
The semi-camp is another development initiative of LPP Group in Trzebownisko municipality, following school starter kits for first graders, scholarships for the most talented students and extra-curricular English classes. The new project was aimed at primary school students and was divided into two rounds, lasting from February 16 to 20 and from February 23 to 27. A total of 104 children took part in the initiative and received meals and care from qualified educators and caregivers. A different activity programme was prepared each day, and the 9-hour sessions held from Monday to Friday were full of team-building games and activities. Participants had the use of classrooms and gyms, where dance, art and movement workshops were implemented. Children were also able to demonstrate their creativity during art classes and 3D printing technology, during which they had the opportunity to print designed key rings on their own. In addition, excursions to the cinema and a bowling alley were organized for young people, guaranteeing better integration with a group of peers. An important part of the schedule turned out to be daily classes in robotics and programming, based on the use of LEGO bricks, as well as programming workshops with elements of English in
the Minecraft game environment.
The varied workshops turned out to be an interesting and attractive way to spend the winter holidays, and the idea of the semi-camp was positively received by both children and parents.
– Thanks to the cooperation with LPP Group, students can develop their interests and improve their competences in various areas, as well as spend time with their peers in a creative way. The semi-camp was met with great interest, both from young people and parents. In the case of such activities, the most important indicator of the project’s success is the joy and smiles it creates – when children return home happy and can’t wait for the next day of classes, and parents ask about the possibility of continuing the programme, we can undoubtedly talk about success – stresses Sławomir Porada, deputy mayor of Trzebownisko municipality.
