Action-based volunteering
No work scares us!
A garden at the children’s home of “Ogniska Nadziei” Foundation
The LPP Foundation financed the rearrangement of the garden at one of the homes for the children of “Ogniska Nadziei” Family Foundation. WolontWariaci volunteers from LPP helped to plant the new plants. The Foundation’s charges were also involved in the campaign, actively changing the area around the home and transforming it into a friendly space for both physical activity and outdoor recreation. Twenty LPP employees volunteered to take part in the action.
Parkolada
The LPP Foundation supported yet another project of the Foundation for Social Innovation Foundation, namely helping to renovate and equip Parkolada. Parkolada is both a social enterprise and a café where charges of children’s homes in Gdańsk find employment upon reaching a certain age.
Support for children’s healthcare facilities
As part of our activities to date, we have already painted and refurbished many hospital wards, but also the cystic fibrosis outpatient clinic at Polanki Children’s Hospital in Gdańsk. After the action of mounting colourful pictures on the ceiling of the Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Ward for Children at Copernicus Hospital in Gdańsk, in 2019, we returned to that place to decorate the corridor. Fundacja z Pompą received support from us for the retrofitting of the Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Ward of the University Clinical Centre in Gdańsk. In Cracow, we periodically cooperate with the University Children’s Hospital.
Rearrangement of “So eat”
We designed and implemented a rearrangement of the restaurant which operates on the principles of a social company and is a place where the charges of children’s homes run by the Foundation for Social Innovation can start their first job, try to become independent and gain invaluable experience, which will pay off in the future.
“Do Nasadzenia”
It has been five years of our activity in Lipusz forest district already! We became an official partner of the tree-planting event called “DO NASADZENIA” organised by TORUS. Its aim was to rebuild the forest in Lipusz, which was destroyed by the storm in 2017. More than 30 LPP employees and their relatives took part in the action and contributed to the reconstruction of nature.
