Registration for the Summer Academy of Fashion Design – Fashion Starter – has started
Until August 4, we are running enrollment for the fourth edition of the Summer Academy of Fashion Design – Fashion Starter. This is a free, two-week course introducing the ins and outs of working in the fashion industry. The classes will take place from 26.08 – 6.09 and will be led by designers and technologists from LPP and experts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk.
Fashion Starter – your start in the world of fashion during this summer
Fashion Starter is a must-attend this summer for anyone who would like to see what day-to-day work in the fashion industry looks like, such as a position as a designer, technologist, or photographer. The Summer Academy of Fashion Design is an amazing opportunity to soak up knowledge for free from experienced designers and technologists from LPP and experts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. On the side of the academy, the classes will be led by Rafal Fedusio and Dr. Magdalena Czajka-Cardosso, among others. The students will also be introduced to the profession of a designer by, among others, Dominika Mowińskia-Piech – head designer at the Reserved brand.
Fashion Starter is not only about theoretical knowledge. As part of the makeover workshop, each participant will create a fashion silhouette that will be captured during a professional photo shoot. Participants, under the guidance of an experienced, will be able to try their hand as a photographer. Also on the schedule are tasks that clothing designers face daily, such as analyzing fashion trends and creating mood boards and technical drawings.
Each student who achieves a minimum of 95 percent attendance and completes their final project will receive a diploma from the Summer Academy of Fashion Design. Selected students will be invited to join the recruitment process at LPP!
