LPP wins the title of Best Polish Employer of the Year
LPP took first place in the annual ranking of the best Polish employers, prepared by the Wprost magazine. The Gdańsk-based company was appreciated, for example, for its lack of mass layoffs, employment growth and pay rises.
Wprost.pl published this year’s ranking of the ‘50 Best Polish Employers’. This special annual list is intended to recognise companies that provide stable employment and care for their employees.
LPP moved up from seventh to first place year-on-year. The victory was achieved, for example, thanks to the lack of mass layoffs, pay rises, increased hiring and a high percentage of employment contracts. A speech of appreciation for LPP was delivered at the gala, which saw Marta Maciejewska, HR Retail Manager, and Katarzyna Kucmida, HR Team Leader, receive the award:
It is one of the few Polish global companies. Over the last 30 years, they have managed to build the largest fashion company in Central and Eastern Europe. Their products are available in 40 foreign markets. And they know how to take care of their people like hardly any other company. (…) There have been no mass layoffs, nor are any planned. Last year they increased wages in each of their companies in Poland and abroad. Instead of laying people off, they are hiring. Last year 2,000 new employees joined them.
More than 500 of the largest companies operating in Poland took part in this year’s fifth edition. The full list of the best employers is available on Wprost’s website: [PL] Special issue, reports and Wprost weekly extras
